Ladies. It’s nearing the time we start planning for our yearly getaways either with family or our Girls trip.
Anytime is a great time to get away to look and feel fabulous. Now questions arise “What do I bring?” I want to be effortless, but I don’t want to lug a crap load of things that I might not use at all on my face. If you’re anything like me, I want my next trip to be simple. Last year, I went on a Cruise with my Best Friend/Business Partner and packed so much makeup, I felt like I was doing a photo shoot. LOL! With that experience I have learned KISS (keep it simple silly).
So ladies I got you covered for upcoming vacation getaway. I am recommending multi-purpose products and alternatives based on dry skin or combination to oily skin. Always pack your fundamentals e.g. cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and/or face mist. Tip (never pack anything over 3 ounces in your carry on or it will be tossed). Your destination should inspire your beauty looks and what beauty items you are taking with you on your trip.
In no particular order here we go…
It can be used as your contour for night time if you carry your regular face shade (I use MAC NW45) and I bring NW48 or NW58 for contouring. Depending on your brush density – a fluffy brush gives you light coverage keeps you fresh looking. A dense brush or puff will give you more full coverage look. Also another great use for this powder is as an eye shadow for day time. You can put this on your lips and put gloss over it as a great nude color as well.
It’s a ride or die product for you! There is no need for liquid foundation. You can use a shade that is your complexion and have another that is two shades lighter for highlight purposes. The concealer can be blended out from the center of face. Use your foundation powder as your sealer and it will not make you look like a light bulb under the eye area.
You can use the palette as your eye shadow or your lip stain. You can push the color into your lips and add gloss for a glossy color finish. If you have dry skin, I recommend a cream blush palette. Bring a palette that has warm colors and bronzy shimmer for night time looks. I like using Juvia’s Place Palettes.
You can use mascara as eyeliner with a small angled brush. It can also be used to fill in brows with an angled brush or you can clean off most of the product from the mascara wand and brush through your brows to get a bolder brow (make sure to wash the wand before putting it back in the mascara tube). My favorite – Lash Paradise by L’Oreal.
There you go ladies, my recommendations for packing light and slaying your Vacation looks. Have fun with it. Explore getting the most out of having less.
